EfficiencyOne understands the importance of ESG considerations in demonstrating an organization’s contribution to an ethical and sustainable future and has been considering and integrating ESG based practices into our activities for over a decade. We are committed to further integrating ESG considerations into our decision making and growing our impact.
The following environmental, social, and governance sections focus on our 2023 ESG metrics and targets. By measuring and communicating our ESG contributions, we aim to be pushed to achieve higher goals, and inspire ourselves and others along this journey.
Environmental sustainability is one of the most pressing issues of our lifetime, the work that we do at E1 every day not only helps people reduce their energy bills, but also their carbon footprint. We are committed to continue to help Nova Scotia achieve its emission reduction targets and help people achieve their energy goals.
Our 2023 ESG metric and target will further our contribution to local climate goals:

2023 Performance
We recognize that Nova Scotia is a tapestry of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and lived experiences. We want to be an organization that is representative of the customers we serve. To that end, we will continue to strive for diversity across our entire organization – from our Board of Directors, leadership teams, and staff. We will continue to develop programs and services that meet the unique needs of diverse communities across our province, taking a collaborative approach in both their design and delivery.

This also includes governance of environmental and social factors and how ESG is implemented (e.g., integrated within operations), monitored, and reported upon. There are three themes and five metrics with targets under the governance category.
